UX / Interaction Design
Designing a Better Weekly Review
Investigating how people can review complex responsibilities with greater confidence.
Task management systems often become increasingly complex as projects, priorities, deadlines and unfinished tasks accumulate.
Using Tandem GTD as a real product context, I want to focus on one specific interaction: the weekly review.
Rather than redesigning the entire application, I will investigate how people review their responsibilities, regain an overview of their commitments and decide what deserves attention next.
How might we help people review their commitments and confidently decide what deserves their attention next?
This project is deliberately focused on UX and Interaction Design rather than visual redesign.
My goal is to practice understanding user behavior, mapping workflows, prototyping interactions and testing design decisions before moving into polished interface design.
Research Questions
- How do people currently review their tasks and projects?
- What causes people to lose overview?
- How do they determine what is important?
- What happens to unfinished or outdated tasks?
- What creates confidence at the end of a review?
Planned Process
This case study will evolve as the project progresses — each stage will be documented here as it happens.
